Fletcher Wildlife Garden is a small oasis of wildlife in the middle of urban Ottawa. And in its compact area, it harbours a number of different and distinct habitats: hardwood forest, amphibian pond, butterfly meadow, hedgerow, backyard garden and more. It is maintained by the Ottawa Field-Naturalists ‘ Club. I spent a rewarding hour or two yesterday wandering around its varied habitats.
Nature’s beauties have finally returned. Thanks for capturing the little ones.

Thank you for bringing the beauty of Nature to our attention today!
My pleasure, Margaret!
Lovely shots John! Interesting to see your eastern Downy which is so much whiter than ours, whose underparts are more beige. Isn’t spring wonderful?
The best time of the year. And things happen quickly!
